MirthfulSoul: Hello 2013!

Happy New Year!

As 2013 rolls in, (at a fast speed might I add) I feel quite obligated to finally sit down and reflect on all that this past year included. As I do so, I am so..so incredibly humbled,grateful,convicted, and reminded of God's continual,loving kindness in my life. As God ordains seasons for each of His children, He does so with infinite knowledge,wisdom, graciousness and true love.

As a friend once said, "God is not as interested in our comfort as our character." I feel as though this is true for me in 2012. God grew me up this past year. He showed me a lot about the world, a lot about myself ( mostly the hard way) and... a lot about Him. Although themes of life are constantly changing, and people's ideas, loves, desires, and opinions are constantly changing, and almost EVERYTHING at times around you feel like they are constantly changing.... Our God is forever the same. Day in and day out, minute by minute, year by year, decade by decade, for all eternity the Lord's character and being do not waver a single smidgen. HE IS SO TRUSTWORTHY!!! If you ever really think about that truth, it's quite mind blowing. In every season, in every circumstance, God is who He says He is. ALWAYS.

So as the new year approaches, and my heart is filled with happiness over sweet memories, regret over dumb decisions, hurt over the hard days, anxiety over what's to come in the new months and finally so much excitement for all that God will do this Next Year...I am deciding( and hoping you are too!) to look to, love and remember more, praise often and trust ALL of God's unchanging character.

Renewed life, renewed strength, renewed love, and renewed hope are found in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Gospel of eternally good news, and HE IS WHAT I WANT... this year and for all my years to come! Happy New Year Y'all!
